A creamy tomato pasta sauce made with cream cheese for a rich and smooth texture.
Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 200g cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low and add cream cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Mix in parmesan cheese.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
