- 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 2 tablespoons brandy
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add apple slices and cook until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side. Remove apples and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add apple cider, brandy, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.
- Simmer the mixture until it thickens into a syrup, about 5 minutes.
- Return the apples to the skillet and coat them with the syrup.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best results.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
