- 200g spaghetti
- 1 can sardines in oil (about 120g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 red chili, sliced (optional)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic, onion, and chili. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add sardines to the pan, breaking them into chunks. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Toss in the cooked spaghetti. Mix well.
- Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use sardines packed in olive oil for better flavor.
- Adjust chili to your preferred spice level.
- Add a splash of pasta water if the dish seems dry.
