- 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 lb potato gnocchi
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles.
- Stir in marinara sauce, basil, oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Cook gnocchi according to package instructions, then drain.
- Mix gnocchi with sausage and sauce in the skillet.
- Transfer mixture to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, use hot Italian sausage.
- Fresh basil can be used instead of dried.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
