Description

Creamy vanilla ice cream loaded with semisweet chocolate chips and chopped peanut butter cups for a classic frozen treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 gallon half-and-half

  • 1 ½ cups sugar

  • ½ cup light corn syrup

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup chopped peanut butter cups


Instructions

  1. Mix base: Whisk half-and-half, sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt until dissolved.

  2. Chill: Refrigerate for 2+ hours (or overnight).

  3. Churn: Pour into ice cream maker; churn 20–25 minutes.

  4. Add mix-ins: Stir in chocolate chips and peanut butter cups during last 2–3 minutes.

  5. Freeze: Transfer to airtight container; freeze 4+ hours until firm.


Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate and mini peanut butter cups for best results.

  • No ice cream maker? Freeze in a shallow dish, stirring every 30 minutes for 3 hours.

  • Store with plastic wrap pressed directly on the surface to prevent ice crystals.
