Description

A simple and flavorful garlic-herb crusty bread with a crispy exterior and soft interior.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil, then stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Punch down dough and shape into a round loaf.
  7. Mix minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme, then press into the dough.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool before slicing.
