Description
A simple and classic Italian pasta dish with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 400g spaghetti
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add garlic and chili flakes, cook until garlic is golden (1-2 minutes).
- Drain pasta and add it to the pan. Toss well to coat with oil.
- Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
- Season with salt, garnish with parsley and Parmesan (if using). Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use high-quality olive oil for best flavor.
- Do not let garlic burn—it turns bitter.
- Adjust chili flakes to your spice preference.
