Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
- Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Form into oval patties.
- Heat butter and oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions until soft.
- Add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the broth to thicken.
- Return patties to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with mashed potatoes or rice.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef for best results.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
