Description

A simple and hearty one-dish meal made with ground beef, vegetables, and potatoes, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, then drain excess fat.
  3. Layer sliced potatoes, onions, bell peppers, and cooked beef in a greased casserole dish.
  4. Mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then pour over the casserole.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top (if using), and bake for another 15 minutes.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
