Description

A rich and creamy crab brulee with a crispy caramelized top.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh crab meat
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Mix crab meat, cream, egg yolks, butter, sugar, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Pour mixture into ramekins.
  4. Place ramekins in a baking dish filled with hot water.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and cool.
  7. Sprinkle sugar on top and caramelize with a torch.

Notes

  • Use fresh crab for best flavor.
  • Do not overbake to avoid curdling.
  • Serve immediately after caramelizing.
