Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  4. Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until mixture boils.
  5. Pour the butter-sugar mixture evenly over the crackers.
  6. Bake for 5 minutes.
