- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup finely diced pears
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in the diced pears.
- Divide the batter evenly into the muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm pears for best results.
- You can replace vegetable oil with melted butter for a richer flavor.
