- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger to make the teriyaki sauce.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce over the beef and stir to coat evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix water and cornstarch, then add to the pan to thicken the sauce.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce is glossy and coats the beef.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- Use a well-marbled cut of beef for better flavor and tenderness.
- Adjust sugar or honey to taste if you prefer a sweeter or less sweet sauce.
- Serve with steamed rice and vegetables for a complete meal.
