A quick and flavorful beef lo mein dish with tender beef strips, fresh vegetables, and chewy noodles in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 8 oz flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over high heat. Add beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from pan.
  4. In the same pan, add garlic, broccoli, carrot, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Return beef to the pan. Add cooked noodles and toss to combine.
  6. Garnish with green onions and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use fresh noodles for the best texture.
  • Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
  • Adjust sauce to taste with extra soy sauce or a pinch of sugar.
