Apple pie bars are a simple and delicious dessert that combines the flavors of traditional apple pie with the convenience of a bar.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 4 cups apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In another bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spread this mixture over the crust.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the apples.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- You can use any type of apple for this recipe.
- Store the bars in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
