Ingredients

12 oz (340g) fettuccine or spaghetti

1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)

6 tbsp unsalted butter

8 cloves garlic (about 3 tbsp minced)

1 small onion, finely diced

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

½ cup beef broth
-
¼ cup heavy cream
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (+ more for serving)

2 tbsp chopped parsley

Salt & pepper to taste
Optional Add-ins:

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

2 cups baby spinach

½ cup mushrooms, sliced
Instructions

Cook pasta (reserve 1 cup water)

Brown beef; drain fat

Sauté garlic/onion in butter

Add broth, cream, and beef

Toss with pasta, cheese, and pasta water
